Qi Men Dun Jia and Xuan Kong Da Gua – What does it mean in English? Today I will define Qi Men Dun Jia.

Qi Men Dun Jia

The transliterated meaning of Qi Men Dun Jia, is roughly, Mystical Door Hiding Jia or the Mystical Door Hiding Technique. It is an ancient Chinese Metaphysical system that encompasses being in the right place, at the right time in order to control the outcomes of “luck.”

Its origins are found in the Warring States Period of China’s dynasties. It stretches as far back to 5000 years ago. It was used by military strategists of Emperors and War Lords for war strategy to defeat the enemy.

Today, Qi Men Dun Jia is used to forecast and calculate the outcomes of luck by understanding the use of positive environmental frequencies. It intends to put you in an optimum position to achieve results you want in any competitive environment. The revival of Qi Men Dun Jia has recently become a popular system of Feng Shui practiced in Asia after China began releasing the old texts.

Qi Men Dun Jia is the mother system of all Feng Shui practice. It is compared to the moments when miracle outcomes of actions and events come to us in the most unexpected ways. But it is not actually a practice to conjure up Magic and Miracles. It cannot be used to cheat Destiny, Fate or Death.

How Do You Use Qi Men Dun Jia?

There are 5 Application Methods of Qi Men Dun Jia

1. Forecasting is predictive and meant to reveal information about the potential outcome of events. This lets you be tactical and strategic when making and planning decisions. Good for business deals, career and marriage decisions, financial investments and job interviews. It can also use to find lost people or items.

2. Time and Activity Selection is meticulous calculation for a specific hour and precise direction to seize the strategic optimum moment to take action for a better outcome of your endeavor. Good for grand openings, marketing campaigns or launching a new product.

3. Destiny Analysis & Annual Analysis is for understanding one’s practical life as well as soul destiny, guardian angels, spiritual qualities. Good for identifying areas of life that are strong and use them to overcome the weaker areas. It tells about wealth, health, relationships, retirement, risk tolerance, wisdom/knowledge, asset capacity, outlook on life and karmic debts.

4. Feng Shui is for property assessment and to align the home to receive beneficial Qi to enhance outcomes of actions and endeavors. A Qi Men Dun Jia chart allows you to “remote view” a property without being there. Good for helping identifying the value of a property for investment and purchase, or how to fix the Feng Shui.

5. Spiritual Qi Men Dun Jia is the mind, body soul analysis. A person’s Qi Men chart lets you understand the influence of the mind on your thoughts, that lead to action and ultimately your reality.  Once a QM chart is decoded, it can help manifest positive change in life. Spiritual Qi Men acts as a guide to help master one’s mind and unleash its full potential with the purpose of manifest your objectives.

The use of Qi Men Dun Jia is to put yourself in the right place, at the right moment to absorb beneficial Qi. It helps you capture the opportunities that introduce themselves and place you in a manageable position over the events that unfold in your life. Qi Men Dun Jia taps into the unknown universal energy on a spirit level.

It is becoming aware of and using all the tools available to put yourself in a Zone of Perfection and increase you ability to succeed at your objectives. QMDJ levels up one’s position on a playing field to enhance the potential for success to achieve happiness and well-being.

It is not totally random as it includes some ability to identify and capture opportune moments in time. It is knowing when to take what action at a precise moment, in the right place so we may reap the rewards. There may be things that we may wish for and we might not expect. We can see them, but they are not quite within our reach. Qi Men Dun Jia allows us to enter the realm of possibility for our dreams.

We may call these miracles as we can’t understand how circumstances could have happened in this way. Many of us have experienced these “miracles”.  Qi Men Dun Jia helps you design the situations you want to bring you in reach of your dreams.

How Does Qi Men Dun Jia Work?

Qi Men Dun Jia uses complex calculations to know where the best Qi (chi) is on any given year, month, day and hour. The 64 Hexagrams of the Yi Qing (IChing) is the foundation of QMDJ & XKDG. The 64 hexagrams, Yin/Yang, Heaven Earth Man concepts is the basis of Chinese Traditional Medicine, Qi Gong, Tai Chi and Martial Arts. There are meridian lines formed within specific groups of hexagrams that connect to one another. Each group affects different areas of your life. When they are in sync, you feel better, you succeed, you win.

In acupuncture, the practitioner identifies the trigger point that is out of sync & stimulates it with a needle to realign the energies. When meridian lines are vibrating within their own harmonic frequency, you have a healthy body & organs. In martial arts, using a sequence of movements that follow the meridian lines, you can overpower your opponent and with minimum effort. In Qi Gong, the movements alter the frequencies in the human body for good health.

Some compare Qi Men Dun Jia to the western view of the “Secret,” or Law of Attraction. I only use this term, because it is a familiar concept to westerners. But actually, Qi Men Dun Jia is a highly precise method of an ancient art that focuses on tapping on environmental energies that connect to the movement of the 9 Stars of the Big Dipper. This interaction between Heaven and Earth is used to help the user achieve ideal results in every area of life.

Qi Men Dun Jia can be used as a forecasting tool to create exceptional results in career, financial decisions, relationships, health, career pursuits, exams or launching important new projects, products or business ventures. It can be used level up one’s position in any negotiations. It can be used to reverse unproductive or negative relationships and events in one’s life. It can be used to find lost items. Based on the goal, we can analyze the Qi Men Dun Jia chart that is derived at the moment of the posed question. This allows us to pinpoint a specific, but optimum time to proceed and/or find solutions to problems.

Through centuries of use, adaptation and popularity of Qi Men Dun Jia, it expanded to included other methods of divination like the Yi Qing (IChing), Feng Shui, BaZi (Chinese Astrology) and ZeRi (auspicious Date Selection). Most subsequent systems of Qi Men Dun Jia have no relationship to its original purpose as war strategy.

What is Qi Men Dun Jia based Upon?

The transliterated name of Qi Men Dun Jia, “Mystical Door Hiding Jia” primarily evolves around hiding the Jia or Yang Wood. Jia is the first of the 10 Heavenly Stems, the foundation to understanding all Chinese Metaphysics. In war strategy, hiding Jia was coded military language to hiding the General or Leader to protect him. The greatest enemy to Jia is Geng or Yang Metal. These are opposing elements compared to the Axe and giant Oak Tree. As the Axe’s intent is to chop down and destroy the tree, which would end its life, it is the enemy of Jia. The entire system of Qi Men Dun Jia is to protect the “General” from the enemy, to avoid a destructive war, or to position the General in the commanding position so he emerges the Victor.

A Qi Men Dun Jia chart will identify the strengths and weaknesses in the events surrounding any question. The goal is to determine where the optimum points of time are to “strike,” or take action toward you goal, using the strengths to overcome the weaknesses.

Qi Men Dun Jia can be used forecast the probable outcome of events. QMDJ uses a technique to calculate with great accuracy the exact moments to take action. Joey Yap talks about the 8 Doors in Qi Men Dun Jia

You can watch a theatrical interpretation of Qi Men Dun Jia captured in The Battle of the Red Cliffs produced by John Woo. It is a popular rendition of the battle fought between allied forces of the southern and northern warlords in China. It replicates how military strategist, Zhuge Liang relied on QMDJ to attack a much stronger enemy in a decisive battle.

Feb 4 – Activate for 2014 Wood Horse Year

Feb 4 – Activate for your Advantage in 2014 Wood Horse Year

Activate the 4 Nobles for protection in 2014 Wood Horse Year

Activate the 4 Nobles for protection in 2014 Wood Horse Year

February 4 is the key transition date into the Wood Horse Year. It is a fabulous day to kick off the new year by activating the “4 Nobles,” or 4 Kings in the home. The 4 Nobles are the main stars in the year that, if triggered in the home, can bring in Nobleman help, assist in solving problems and bringing immunity from negative Qi that may permeate the weak points in the home for 2014 Wood Horse Year.

Each year, we use 4 locations identified as the 4 Nobles which are called the Sun Star, Moon Star, Dragon Virtue Star and Fortune Virtue Star. The locations of the 4 Nobles change yearly as the Earth orbits around the Sun. Each can enlist the help of Nobleman, increase prosperity, happiness, good health, bring the ability to maneuver through choppy waters and turn negatives into positives.

On Feb 4 at 9am, I encourage you to activate all 4 locations in the home to herald in 2014 Wood Horse Year on a good strong footing. It will not prevent the ups and downs of life as that IS LIFE. However, it can greatly increase your ability to grasp opportunities, make better informed decisions and choices, and give you an edge to maneuver the year’s challenges. A healthy mental attitude and good physical health is always central to leverage your odds and level the playing field.

The locations of the 4 Nobles in the Wood Horse Year are noted on this diagram. Southwest 1 is the Goat's location. Northeast 1 is the Ox's location. West 2 is the Rooster's location. East 2 is the Rabbit's location.

Source Chart: Joey Yap, Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics, Malaysia

On Feb 4th the main purpose of activating the 4 Nobles is to bring immunity to the year’s most challenging energies which are in the Northwest and East sectors of the home or office. Throughout the year, these locations can be repeatedly activated to help solve problems as needed (just like acupuncture). Leave your contact number below if you need help.

Below identifies the locations of the 4 Nobles in the home or work place for 2014.

What does it mean to Activate?

The Activation purpose is to stimulate positive Qi in the right place at the right time with movement: Use still water in Southwest 1. In the other locations, move furniture in and out after cleaning in the areas, pound a nail into the wall, play music for 24 hours in the locations. Water should be in a container approximately 3 feet tall. Minimally 8-10″ wide and 2-3 feet wide if the home is more that 2,000 square feet. Water collects Qi so it should be still water.

It is optimum if a main door or bedroom is at the location. A window is also helpful but not as effective. Leave them open for as long as you can. You can also activate outside by planting something and stirring up the Qi in the location. These actions trigger the energies of that star. This can be compared to acupuncture. Specific acupuncture points are stimulated to bring the body in balance. Date Selection at the right activation points are used to stimulate the qi in the home, bringing benefits to the occupants.

THE SECRET

To add SUPERIOR advantage to your Activation, go to the Southwest 1 sector, put your back to the SW and face Northeast. Either Pray or Ask for what you want in 2014 from your Guardian Angel, Spirit Guide, the Chief Deity or whatever divine help that you connect with. Be specific and ONLY use positive words.

For those of you who follow Qi Men Dun Jia, the Chief Deity is at maximum frequency at 9am on Feb 4th. A secondary hour is 1-3pm although not a potent. Anyone can use this Pray and Ask tool regardless of what is in your birth chart. It works best if in your Qi Men Dun Jia chart, your personal Destiny Palace or current luck palace is the Southwest.

FINDING THE SECTORS

Each 45 degrees of the 8 compass sectors are subdivided into 15 degree segments. The number next to the compass direction tells you which 15 degrees of the sector to activate. The most accurate way to identify the locations is to have a floor plan and over lay the compass directions onto the floor plan. Stand in the center of the home and measure with a compass where each sector is. For accuracy, get professional help if you can.

The house activation is not usable if you have a rat in any of your 4 pillars, either hour, day, month or year. This day is most effective for people with a Tiger, Dog or Goat in your day pillar and other pillars secondarily. It is most effective for people with Wood Horse, Fire Sheep or Metal Sheep in any of your four pillars, especially the day. It is not usable for people with a Rat in any of your 4 pillars.

2014 Wood Horse Year 4 NOBLES

Southwest 1 Goat (203° – 218°) has the SUN STAR

For Oops Problems
Sun Star’s strength is mitigating, dissolving and reducing the effects of problems and negative issues. Helps with execution of plans, ideas. Male noblemen come into your life. Especially useful for males, as it is a yang star. Opportunity to travel abroad and make profits from it. You stand on the path to righteousness. Use when a negative sector is accidentally activated (i.e. renovations or by neighbor). Best if you have a Pig, Rabbit or Horse in your chart. DO NOT ACTIVATE IF YOU HAVE AN OX IN YOUR BIRTH CHART.

West 2 Rooster (263°-277°) has the MOON STAR

For Communication Problems
Moon Star helps improve and solve communication issues, removes barriers or negative situations caused by communication problems. Helps brings opportunities to increase wealth, generate income, helps with strategy. Is money making behind the scenes. Indicates wealth luck, can make a serious investment or extend your portfolio. Property buying is good. Good Peach Blossom luck for males, but be careful if you are in a relationship. It is the mastermind of emotions and can affect moods. Female noble people come in your life. Especially effective for females, as it is a yin star. Pay attention to female superiors or subordinates. Use to remove blockages caused by break down in communications.

Best if you have a Snake, Ox or Dragon in your chart. DO NOT ACTIVATE IF YOU HAVE A RABBIT IN YOUR CHART.

Northeast 1 Ox (23° – 38°) has the DRAGON VIRTUE or Emperor Star

For Obstacles
Dragon Virtue rectifies wrongs, dissolves negative events, situations and legal problems, turns them into positives. Activate location to handle problems or you need help to enhance wealth luck, need a career boost or promotion. It is good for new contracts, friends, promotions, celebrations and happy events. One is in a good position to reap profits, see opportunities and make money. Those in high status stand to benefit more. Use when obstacles are insurmountable or difficult to remove and you are unable to reap rewards for your labor (especially monetary). It can be used to help get a loan from a bank (classic e.g. of money obstruction).

Best if you have a Snake, Rooster or Rat in your chart. DO NOT ACTIVATE IF YOU HAVE A GOAT IN YOUR CHART.

East 2 Rabbit (83°-97°) has the FORTUNE VIRTUE STAR

For Happiness and Happy Events
Fortune Virtue helps brings happy events, good relationships, removes obstacles with helpful people supporting you. All endings are positive! You must commit to overcome the issue with this star. When the Chinese talk about prosperity and good fortune, they are talking about the quality of life – happiness, contentment and satisfaction and not necessarily money. This is for limiting worries, good health and ability to self-cultivate. It improves the quality of life. Use for happy events and good tidings. Note: For 2014, this sector has problems. Use only with my help.

Best if you have a Pig, Goat, or Dog in your chart. DO NOT ACTIVATE IF YOU HAVE A ROOSTER IN YOUR CHART.

Click here to find your 4 animals in your BaZi chart. http://www.masteryacademy.com/baziv4/registerBaZi.asp

Direction is one aspect of solving the problem. We must also do the right thing at the right time. We use ZeRi or Date Selection for timing. The date and time selection aspect is utilized to maximize positive outcomes of the date. If during the year you need help, feel free to contact me for auspicious dates to trigger the Qi you need.

May all the dreams you have, the goals you set, the peace you seek, the happiness you desire all come to you in the Wood Horse Year!

January 22, 2014 - A good Feng Shui day to bring Noblemen into your life.

January 22, 2014 – Date Activation to Bring Noblemen and Helpful People. Calendar source Joey Yap

It is hard to always go it alone. We all need helpful people in our lives from time to time. Chinese people refer to helpful people as Noblemen. You are considered blessed when Noblemen appear.

January 22 is a good Feng Shui day for Noblemen to come into your life so trigger this to happen between 3:00pm and 5:00pm. The astrological ratings for the day are Stable, Auspicious, Jade Hall and Carriage – all positive features. The Day Stars include Heaven Noble and Yang Noble Stars, which stimulate the presence of Noblemen. The Duke Virtue Combo Star helps neutralize any negative Qi that is causing problems.

How to bring Nobleman into your life?
You activate the Southwest sector of the home between 3-5pm. Stand in the exact center of the home, point a compass to the front of the home. Locate Southwest. It will be between 203°-248°. Use of a floor plan is more accurate. iPhone and iPad have compasses apps. Or, download Joey Yap’s San Yuan iLouPanPro.

Put a tall column of STILL water, 3ft tall by 10″ wide in SW. It is ok if the size is not exact, but somewhere in this range. If your house is larger (2500 Sq Ft) then make it 2x3Ft tall and wide. It does not matter the material. You should also move furniture out, clean the area and move it back. If there is a door there, this is optimum. A window is also good. Put the water either inside or outside in SW1 sector. Outside has a stronger effect. If possible, leave the door and window open for 24 hours. You can remove the water after 2 weeks. Good Wealth Day January 14, 2014 Click here for Facebook post

Good WEALTH DAY
January 14, 2014

January 14th at 7:30AM, the Dragon or Chen hour is a great day to activate the house to stimulate wealth in your life.

January 14 is a Wood Rooster Day or Yi You
It’s Date Selection Ratings are: Success -Officer Day, Excellent -Dong Gong

You Activate Southeast or East of the home or office.
Put a container of still water in the SE sector 2X3 feet tall and wide.
Clean and move furniture in the East. The larger the better. The more activity, the better.

There are harmonious numerological combinations in both locations: In the East it is 7,2, In the SE it is 8,3. In Chinese Metaphysics, these combinations are excellent for relationships. If your entry door, office or bedroom is in the Southeast or East sector, it is a plus.

STARS OF THE DAY:
Earthly Storage is long term wealth star
Happy Spirit brings happy events
Heavenly & Monthly Virtue Combo stars make it a good day to use for most things, including – financial activities, start a new position or business, begin studying, renovate, marriage, moving, praying, sign agreements, medical procedures, disengage or dissolve arrangements, traveling, etc. However, not for meeting friends and networking.

You can’t use it if you have a Rabbit or Mao is in your BaZi Chart. This can be either in the Year, Month, Day or Hour.

January 14, Wood Rooster (Yi You Day)
If you have the following branches anywhere in your BaZi chart, this day is especially good for you: Fire Rooster (Ding You ), Earth Dog (Wu Xu), Metal Dragon (Geng Chen). These are all are good combination pillars with Wood Rooster.

Wood Rooster is a direct clash on Metal Rabbit (Xin Mao) & Earth Rabbit (Ji Mao). If you have these branches in your BaZi chart anywhere in the hour, day, month or year, pass on using this day.

I wish you great prosperity, success, good health and happiness in 2014 Wood Horse Year!

2014 Wood Horse Year

Qi Men Dun Jia (QMDJ) 2014 Wood Horse Year Chart. Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics

2014 Wood Horse Year chart courtesy of Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics, Malaysia

2014 WOOD HORSE YEAR

As seen through the Qi Men Dun Jia Chart (Mystical Door Hiding Technique)

Above is the Qi Men Dun Jia Chart (QMDJ) for the 2014 Wood Horse Year, which officially begins Feb 4, 2014. February 4th is different from Chinese New Year, which begins on January 31. QMDJ is currently the most advanced Feng Shui system out there and is becoming quite a popular system to use in Feng Shui as the results are quicker and stronger.

QMDJ uses the power of 8 Deities, commonly known as the 8 Immortals in Chinese culture. The Chief Deity is the most powerful and popularly used of the 8 Deities in Qi Men Dun Jia. The Chief Deity for 2014 Wood Horse Year is located in the North sector of the compass and hence, in the North of your home or place of business. It is known to help you prevail over your competitors and greatly increase the possibility of your goals and objectives coming to life.

Some, compare Qi Men Dun Jia to what we know in western culture as the “The Secret” or “Law of Attraction.” However, QMDJ uses the additional power of the universal energies of the 8 Deities. The 8 Deities are compared to Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides in western culture. The Deities stimulate the Asker to manifest his/her goals and objectives and by asking and envisioning what you want.

Each Deity has its own “speciality” for its ability to assist the Asker. The Chief Deity is the one most used as his ability is magnified and he resides over the other 7 Deities. The use of Chief Deity in 2014 Wood Horse Year will trigger the process for making your goals come to life. In 2014 Wood Horse Year, Chief resides in the North.

The way to use the Chief Deity is first know where is your home or Life Palace in your QMDJ chart. It will be one of the compass sectors of North, Northeast, East, Southeast, South, Southwest, West or Northwest. Once you know it, you then watch for months the Chief arrives to your Life Palace. You sit with your back to the Chief when it lands in that palace. You face the opposite direction and Ask for what you want. You can take as long as you want, but really you only need a few seconds or minutes.

The system is more powerful when used in tandem with the months, days and hours when the Chief aligns several times into your Life Palace sector. Each layer concentrates the power of the Chief. Anyone can use the Chief when it lands into your Life Palace. However, if in your personal QMDJ chart, the Chief is your personal Deity, your ability to drive home your dreams is multiplied significantly. Lucky are those individuals.

The other way to use Chief is to watch where it lands in the month, day and hour and put your back to that direction and face opposite and make your Ask. However, it is much more powerful when it arrives in your Life Palace.

The STEPS to Take:
You must be in an Alpha State (calm and meditative) to call in the Deity of request. We call this the Sage Mode. Some people use mediation to get into this state. If you are upset, angry or sad, wait until you feel better as you must be in the “Zone.” You then Ask for what you want. You must use only POSITIVE and strong words in your ask. So the words not, no, don’t, hope, wish, etc should not be used. You must Ask, THEN Feel, Believe and Expect for the wish to come true. Then you must take some action to start the process of reaching your goal.

Below is the month chart for January 2014. It shows the Chief Deity in the Northeast for this month. If Northeast is your Life Palace (as is mine), place your back to the NE, face SW and Ask for what you want. You can use this direction until Feb 3, then the Chief moves to another location.

If your Life Palace is the North, in the months and days the Chief moves to the North, it would bring a 3 layered alignment of the Chief into the North sector, hence magnifying its strength. The Asking at those time, increases the capacity for your request to come to reality.

Qi Men Dun Jia’s originated from war strategy in Ancient China.

I recently went to Malaysia to train in the Qi Men Dun Jia technique with Joey Yap of Mastery Academy. It was the most fascinating system I have studied to date.

I wish you great prosperity, success, good health and happiness in 2014 Wood Horse Year!

4 Key Feng Shui Principles to Know

4 Important Feng Shui Factors

4 Key Feng Shui Principles to know when doing an assessment.

For an excellent video version of this article, click Joey Yap for Feng Shui Excursion Part 1

External land forms have the greatest impact on Feng Shui

1. Environment
The environment in which a property is constructed and where people inhabit, plays a great role in influencing the types of qi present. Consequently, the inhabitants performance and success in life will be impacted greatly by their environment.

In Feng  Shui we talk about Forms and Formulas. Forms and Formulas are the key components of a Feng Shui Assessment. External Forms are the land forms or topography around a building. It is where and how mountains and water are located around a building in relationship to the main entry door and key rooms.

Internal Forms are the room and door locations and interior construction. It is the placement of key items in the home. For example, the bed, stove, doors, sofa, work desks.

Formulas are the Feng Shui solutions to life problems. The formulas used are based on the problem or objective of the client, the external and internal forms in relationship to the compass directions and rooms in that location. Additionally timing and individual birth information is calculated in the equation.

External landforms around the property are the first stage of analysis. Forms include the undulations in mountains and water locations around a building. Mountains and water that conform to compass directions and shape and size according to Feng Shui principles will greatly enhance the performance, relationships, happiness and health of the occupants inside.

Full Square or Rectangular shaped floor plans are best.

2. Building Design
There are 4 factors that must first be considered, in evaluating the Feng Shui of a home:
* The Sitting and Facing direction of the building
* The Shape of the lot and building
* The Internal floor plan layout of rooms and doors
* The Main door location and direction

Basically, the shape of the building should be balanced, stable and smooth. We prefer a full square or rectangular building. We call this a 4 Point Gold. It means the building is intact with no missing corners. Missing corners will impact the occupants. The corner missing determines what will be missing in the lives of the occupants.

See blogs on missing corners.

The BaZi birth chart has a correlation to the Home or Office

3. Residents – BaZi Birth Chart
When we talk about the residents factor, we are concerned about the following:

* There will be different outcomes for different individuals. We look at two things to determine outcomes. One is the Life Star or Gua of a person. Two, is the BaZi birth charts to determine what opportunities and challenges lie ahead for the client. We inform the client of the opportunities and how they can make the best use of them. We give the client a heads up for challenges and pitfalls so they can develop a plan of action.

* There is also the issue of Family dynamics to consider. Based on your Life Star or Gua and BaZi birth chart, you better manage your life.

The purpose for the above is to empower the client to develop a strategy that best suits their needs and objectives and gives them the best opportunities for success.

4. Time and Date Selection
The time factor is very important in all systems of traditional Feng Shui. Change is the only constant in life, and this is reflected in the passing of time. As such, no property will enjoy good fortune or bad fortune forever.

In Feng Shui, we can analyzed the up and down periods of time in a building and identify where and how positive and negative qi flows. We use this information to be aware of events that will unfold around us and make informed desicions. We use it to determine room usage and placement of stove, bed and work desk.

We analyze the period of time that a client is concerned about and pinpoint opportune moments to take action or solve problems.

Eating God Star in Chinese Astrology Signs and Elements

The Eating God Star in Chinese Astrology Signs and Elements

The Great Strategist and Hedonism of the Eating God Star in BaZi Birth Charts or 4 Pillars of Destiny

Mosaic Memorial to John Lennon, in Strawberry Fields at Central Park West, 72nd St, New York City

John Lennon’s song, IMAGINE, displays the general characteristics of the Eating God Star in Chinese Astrology signs and elements.

Think Great Strategist, Gourmand, Eccentric, Philosopher, Day Dreamer, Deep Thinker and Hedonist. In Chinese Astrology or BaZi birth charts, the Eating God Star is the Output Star. It is what you give birth to, create, produce and what  earns you income.

That’s me visiting John Lennon’s memorial in Central Park. For Photos of a walk in Strawberry Fields, click HERE

The best quality Eating God Star of the inventor, architect, artist or entertainer, is when their innovative creations win them legendary, iconic stardom status. Be it artistry, acting, singing, entertainment, a tool or a building, the good quality Eating God creations will last into perpetuity. We will remember the person long after their life has passed.

Imagine the world without, Thomas Edison and the light bulb, Orville Wright and the airplane, Henry Ford and the Model T. Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel, Ludwig van Beethoven and 9th Symphony, Steve Jobs and Apple Inc. And, IMAGINE John Lennon’s ability to touch millions of people across nations, with a song.

If you put the qualities of inventor, strategist, deep thinker and the meticulous tinkerer, you can see the great inventions and creations of our time. Their biographies will often show various aspects of the Eating God attributes.

The Eating God Star is about longevity as depicted in Michelangelo’s masterpieces in the Sistine Chapel

The Eating God Star is the consummate day-dreamer and eccentric. In best cases, they bring their dreams to life. You can see they are highly analytical and objective in the mind. As well as extremely meticulous and uniquely imaginative. They can generate wealth because they have original ideas and can innovate beyond the norm. In business they are interested in opportunities that will last, not just the quick fix and immediate gratification. It is their capacity to express their thought and ideas in the concrete form that makes them stand out.

Steve Jobs and Apple, a modern day Eating God Innovator with Strong Resource Star

After all, what makes a person able to create a masterpiece that resonates with the soul? Or, mastermind an invention that changes society and people’s lives forever? This is why a strong Eating God Star is extreme in some way and a tad eccentric. What they have to offer the world is beyond dreams and the ordinary.

It requires someone who can go inward, someone who can connect to the hearts of masses of people’s soul and spirit and then translate that into an object of creation.

The Eating God displays a gentle personality, reserved, introverted and inward-looking. They are generally non-confrontational, good listeners who are patient and understanding in nature.

This star gives a superior appreciation of aesthetics, a love for beautiful things and beautiful people. They are classy, cultured, pleasure-centric, and value the finer things in life.

There will be a flair for the romantic and poetic emotionalism that is in tune with their inner selves. It is their capability to express those thoughts and feelings in the written word, the artistic creation or the scientific breakthrough that makes them stand out. Hence, you have the Einstein, the Beethoven, the Michelangelo.

The quality or strength of the Eating God Star is greatly determine by the balance of elements in the entire BaZi birth chart and the person’s Day Master. Each Day Master will express a different quality of Eating God Star (a topic for a future blog).

The Eating God Star is the one star that is important for income generation. When we see this Star, we want to see a good quality Resource Star. Resource is the star of knowledge and thinking. The Resource Star is what feeds you, makes you comfortable in your skin, able to study, retain knowledge and use your intelligence. It gives substance to the Eating God Star. Steve Jobs’ BaZi chart is an example with good quality Eating God Star supported by strong Resource.

This is a chart of an Eating God Personality

Without knowledge the Output Star is not good quality. After all, what can you create if you are not making use of your intelligence and wisdom? If the Resource is there, the Ouput Star will show its positive traits.

The Eating God Star that reaches the status of the figures listed above will often show extremes in their personalities. I call this a side effect.  When a good quality Eating God star is in the natal chart or shows up in a year or 10 year luck cycle, people will want to express themselves and give birth to something, like a new project or a new job. For women it may be giving birth. The Eating God star inspires one to create.

Too strong or weak and without control, the Eating God will drain the person and exhibit its negative qualities. When the Eating God star is imbalanced, you will find an aimless daydreamer, divorced from reality. The eccentricity is extreme, as is over-thinking, ultra-orthodox behavior. They will over-complicate problems, be dogmatic and can’t face reality or grow up, preferring to live in a fantasy world. Hence, the classic Peter Pan syndrome. Imbalanced, they are impractical perfectionists, mean-spirited, pedantic and hair splitters.

A good Destiny Analyst will look for solutions to imbalances as the birth chart represents only 1/3 of a person’s life. Feng Shui and personal decision-making play a large role in the other 2/3s of a person’s life. A solution lies somewhere in this trinity of one’s luck factors. Often, the first step is to recognize how to use what is strong in the chart and how to moderate the challenges.

Welcome Water Snake Year 2013

Welcome Water Snake Year 2013

February 4, 2013 –  Sherwin Ng’s Analysis of the Water Snake Year (at bottom)

The Arrival of Spring. February 4, 2013

Arrival of Spring (立春)

4th Feb 2013 @ 0015 hours marks the brand new year of the Water Snake following the Chinese Solar Calendar
Take today easy as the new energies of the year settles in nicely for You to start afresh with new hopes and high expectations.

A Happy ‘Day of Spring’ (立春) to One and All.

Post from House of Feng Shui Facebook page.

2013 is “A better and less volatile year” than last year of the Water Dragon.

I liked this analysis of the Water Snake Year 2013 by Sherwin Ng’s on Facebook that I want to share it with you. Sherwin Ng is a senior consultant of Joey Yap Consulting Group. I have made minor edits for brevity and for readers not be familiar with the information.

Welcome Water Snake Year 2013

“Welcome Water Snake – and for myself personally, welcome Earth Monkey. I have waited 9 years for you. It will be the year where the world will start to balance itself out. After all, we see Gui (Yin) Water and Bing (Yang) Fire, the keepers of Life and Death, overlooking the year. So 2013 will be a year of KARMA.

Whatever challenges you may have been going through, like for myself, I see it as a re-balancing of my previous karmic actions playing out. I let it be. Whatever injustice you feel may be imposed on you now, let it be – I trust Gui Si (Water Snake) will do the balancing for you pretty soon.

Whatever good you have been doing, trust me when I say, the miracles are coming your way very soon! And when you do find these joyous abundance – know that you truly deserve it, and use it without guilt. But use it wisely, for it will be gone soon after. Nothing lasts forever.

For those who spent their Dragon year bullying and cheating others, then Gui Si (Water Snake) is a flaming tornado sweeping towards you – now would be a good time to start praying.

2012, especially the second half, has been a great challenge to my wisdom and patience. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all my friends, brothers and sisters, who continue to stand by me, whether the wind is a breeze or a typhoon – you are there for me. Thank you and I love you too.

I never ever thought that one day, whatever little integrity I have would speak for itself, and I don’t need to say anything else at all when the time comes. Ren Chen, thank you for the lessons – and that one amazing gift which I had not expected.

Blessed be and may your manifestations come true in the year of Water and Fire’s eternal harmony.”

An interview with Sherwin Ng’s in New Straits Times is a good read.
